Who do I work with?
I work with individuals, adults and adolescents, couples and groups. I work under the supervision of Kim Ives Bailey and provide services for a low fee on a sliding scale.
Why should I come to Therapy?
Seeking out therapy is an individual choice, usually precipitated by events or feelings that are causing some sort of distress in your life. This is the time to seek out professional help in order to reduce symptoms of distress and help you function more fully in day-to-day life. Sometimes there are long term issues which are becoming overwhelming and you feel the need to get help with, at other times there are immediate, short-term concerns which could be helped by practical, solution oriented therapy. Working with a therapist can provide insight, support and new strategies for diverse life challenges. I work with each client collaboratively to establish goals for treatment that fit your individual needs.
What can I expect in Therapy?
You can expect from me in therapy a warm, supportive, and safe atmosphere in which to develop a strong therapeutic relationship which helps to foster personal growth and development. Each session is 50 minutes long and is usually once weekly, though time and frequency are negotiable depending on your needs at the time. Therapy can be long term, focusing on addressing more complex issues or ongoing personal growth or short term, focusing on immediate life issues. I ask that you are an active participant in your own work and this effort makes processing your issues resolve much more quickly.
